Our Preschoolers enjoy singing songs in Spanish class with Señora Steelman. We having been practicing all our songs for Family Fun Night. We can't wait to sing "Un Pavito" and Bueños Dias!
During the month of November the children have been learning about Native Americans. We have discussed how Native Americans shared their land, food, and culture with the Pilgrims. The Preschoolers have been practicing sharing with their friends and teachers. Sharing with friends can be fun!
Every week our Preschoolers attend gym class with Mr. Peterson. Mr. Peterson teaches age appropriate activities to promote good health. We are lucky to have a fun and energetic teacher!!
Early Childhood Research continues to show a strong correlation between rhyming and reading. We have started the year reciting "Humpty Dumpty" and "Hey Diddle Diddle." The children have enjoyed acting out Humpty Dumpty in the egg costume. I hope the pictures "crack" you up!
Greetings! Our preschool year is off to a great start. "You Are My Sunshine" is our theme for the year. The children have enjoyed singing, praying, and playing with their new preschool friends.
Did you know snails can't hear? Today we learned this snail fact in preschool. We observed snails that live in water. We noticed that the snails feelers come out when the snail smells food. We also sang a song about snails with Ms. Romportl. The preschoolers were busy making snails out of paper plates and popsicle sticks. Watch out for their slime!
Highland Catholic Preschool is thankful for the wonderful families who support our Preschool! Even though it was a beautiful spring night outside, many families joined in the fun! The night was filled with singing, stretching, crafts, and a bedtime story. We can't forget the bedtime snack of cookies and milk.
Today Mrs. Kenney's Class had fun Observing what they can find under a patch of grass. The curious children found a huge spider, two worms, and a slug in the dirt.
